June 2016 – 4th Paperless Seminar

The 4th Paperless Seminar took place on 15 June 2016. This year’s event was held at the STUDIO Theatre, a technological partner of Billennium, and focused on business development based on customer emotions.

During the Seminar entitled “All under Control. Emotions, Technology, Business.”, business and technological solutions were presented which facilitate development of the enterprise while looking after the end user’s emotions. The topic of human emotions in business was explained by Marta Bryła-Gozdyra – Customer Experience Specialist at Everbe and Natalia Hatalska – author of a periodical publication called the TrendBook, well-recognised in the sector.

Optimisation of business processes is not limited to reducing operational costs and working times, but also entails providing positive experiences to the customers – who are the final reviewers of the products and services offered. The importance of Customer Experience Management grows with the level of standardisation of the market offer. In such an environment, the manner of delivering products or services is the only – positive or negative – distinguishing feature of the enterprise on the market, and shapes the company’s future.

An example of a technological solution which enables us to achieve full business potential is the Billennium Paperless platform, which facilitates management of any business processes – from process modelling, to daily operations, to customer and staff satisfaction monitoring at all stages of service provision.

It is planned that the platform will feature innovative technological modules presented at this year’s seminar. Among them, was the CXUP system, used for monitoring the CX area, the Paperless Signature system, which facilitates electronic signing of documents and the Bilo app for automatic customer payment processing.

More information on the Billennium Paperless platform was shared by Łukasz Wachowicz – Business Development Director and Piotr Aftewicz – Business Analyst Manager at Billennium. The abilities of the platform were also presented by Billennium partners – representatives of Kofax, Wacom, Anasoft and Microsoft.

The legal possibility of completely replacing paper documents by their electronic versions was discussed by a special guest of the Seminar– Prof. Ph.D. Dariusz Szostek. The lecture indicated clearly that currently there is nothing, apart from the force of habit, stopping the Paperless Signature solution from being commonly applied.

Next, the best practices in terms of Paperless project management were demonstrated by Billennium CIO – Grzegorz Rycaj, while the issue of when and why Managed Services should be considered was addressed by Marek Drob – Service Delivery Director at Billennium. Whereas Tomasz Osipiak – Business Evangelist at Microsoft Poland told the Seminar participant about the MS Azure cloud as a safety standard for business solutions.

The Seminar concluded with a performance of Klancyk! Improv Theatre and a traditional game of throwing planes to target, with participation of a special guest, Tomek Chodyra – World Champion in the acrobatic category of the international Red Bull Paper Wings competition.

The Seminar was attended by nearly 100 participants from various sectors. Among them, there were representatives of banks (Bank Pocztowy, BZ WBK, Citi Handlowy, Credit Agricole, Deutsche Bank, Euro Bank, Getin Bank, mBank, PKO BP, Raiffeisen Bank, Santander), insurance companies (AXA, Compensa, Generali, TUiR Warta), leasing companies (BNP Paribas Leasing, Europejski Fundusz Leasingowy) and telecommunications operators (Orange, Play, JMDI).

The participants stressed just how specific and inspiring the event was.

“I found information about the changes in law , the business environment and technological changes the most interesting. It was also very useful to be able to test devices used in the paperless process in practice.”

Marcin Małecki – Sales Support Department Director, Europejski Fundusz Leasingowy S.A.

“During the seminar, I was mostly interested in the lecture on building a competitive brand,  and on the paperless concept and the electronic signature solution presented .”

Marek Mazurek – Technical Security Means Design and Implementation Specialist, PKO Bank Polski S.A.

“I was inspired by the lecture given by Natalia Hatalska on technology serving the man and by the lecture presented by Prof. Dariusz Szostek on legal aspects of the possibility to increase electronic circulation of information.”

Karolina Gorzewska – Development and Optimisation Director at Orange Polska S.A.
